Allen Ginsberg

Well, to make a long story short, Allen Ginsberg was Jewish!

Since Allen Ginsberg's mother was Jewish, and in Judaism one's religion is based on one's mother's religion, then that makes him also Jewish. His father was Jewish too.

Allen Ginsberg (who's full birth name was Irwin Allen Ginsberg) was born on June 3, 1926 in Newark, New Jersey, U.S..

He is one of the leading figures of both the Beat Generation of the 1950s and the counterculture that soon would follow. He vigorously opposed militarism, economic materialism and sexual repression. Ginsberg is best known for his epic poem "Howl", in which he denounced what he saw as the destructive forces of capitalism and conformity in the United States.
