Was Andre Citroen Jewish?

Andre Citroen

Well, to make a long story short, Andre Citroen was Jewish!

Since Andre Citroen's mother was Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes him Jewish. His father was Jewish too.

Andre Citroen (whose full birth name was Andre-Gustave Citroen) was born on 5 February 1878 in Paris, France. Andre Citroen passed away on 3 July 1935 (aged 57).

He is remembered chiefly for the make of car named after him, but also for his application of double helical gears.
