Since Dara Torres's mother is not Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes her not Jewish (though once again, she was converted to Judaism, which makes her Jewish) . Dara Torres (whose full birth name is Dara Grace Torres) was born on April 15, 1967 in Beverly Hills, California.

She is an American former competitive swimmer, who is a 12-time Olympic medalist and former world record-holder in three events. She was is the first swimmer to represent the United States in five Olympic Games (1984, 1988, 1992, 2000 and 2008). At the age of 41, Torres was the oldest swimmer to earn a place on the U.S. Olympic team.
