Was Gregory Pincus Jewish?

Gregory Pincus

Well, to make a long story short, Gregory Pincus was Jewish!

Since Gregory Pincus's mother was Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes him Jewish. His father was Jewish too.

Gregory Pincus (whose full birth name was Gregory Goodwin Pincus) was born on April 9, 1903 in Woodbine, New Jersey.

Gregory Pincus is best known for co-inventing the combined oral contraceptive pill.
