Is Gwyneth Paltrow Jewish?

Gwyneth Paltrow

Well, to make a long story short, Gwyneth Paltrow is not Jewish! (though she considers herself Jewish)

Since Gwyneth Paltrow's mother is not Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes her not Jewish (though once again, she DOES consider herself to be Jewish). Though she is not Jewish, Her father is Jewish , and by Reform Judaism and Reconstructionist Judaism, who accept both matrilineal (by mother) and patrilineal (by father) descent views, she is considered Jewish.

Gwyneth Paltrow (whose full birth name is Gwyneth Kate Paltrow) was born on September 27, 1972 in Los Angeles, California, U.S..

She is known for such films as Se7en, Emma and Great Expectations. In 1998, she won an AcademySh Award for her role in Shakespeare in Love.
