Is Judith Light Jewish?

Judith Light

Well, to make a long story short, Judith Light is Jewish!

Since Judith Light's mother is Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes her Jewish. Her father is Jewish too.

Judith Light (whose full birth name is Judith Ellen Light) was born on February 9, 1949 in Trenton, New Jersey.

Judith's breakthrough role was in the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live from 1977 to 1983, where she played the role of Karen Wolek, for which she won two Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Light later starred as Angela Bower in the long-running ABC sitcom Who's the Boss? from 1984 to 1992.
