Is Maggie Siff Jewish?

Maggie Siff

Well, to make a long story short, Maggie Siff is not Jewish! (though she considers herself Jewish)

Since Maggie Siff's mother is not Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes her not Jewish (though once again, she DOES consider herself to be Jewish). Though she is not Jewish, Her father is Jewish , and by Reform Judaism and Reconstructionist Judaism, who accept both matrilineal (by mother) and patrilineal (by father) descent views, she is considered Jewish.

Maggie Siff was born on June 21, 1974 in New York City, New York.

Siff is best known for her role as department store heiress Rachel Menken Katz on the AMC drama Mad Men, Dr. Tara Knowles on the FX drama Sons of Anarchy for which she was twice nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and psychiatrist Wendy Rhoades on the Showtime series Billions.
