Is Mayim Bialik Jewish?

Mayim Bialik

Well, to make a long story short, Mayim Bialik is Jewish!

Since Mayim Bialik's mother is Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes her Jewish. Her father is Jewish too.

Mayim Bialik (whose full birth name is Mayim Hoya Bialik) was born on December 12, 1975 in San Diego, California.

From 1991 to 1995, Mayim Bialik played the title character of NBC's Blossom. Since 2010, she has played Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler on CBS's The Big Bang Theory, a role for which she has been nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
