Was Mike Wallace Jewish?

Mike Wallace

Well, to make a long story short, Mike Wallace was Jewish!

Since Mike Wallace's mother was Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes him Jewish. His father was Jewish too.

Mike Wallace (whose full birth name was Myron Leon Wallace) was born on May 9, 1918 in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Wallace, whose family's surname was originally Wallik, was born to Russian Jewish immigrant parents.

Wallace was one of the original correspondents and the lead reporter for CBS' 60 Minutes, which debuted in 1968.
