Is Spike Jonze Jewish?

Spike Jonze

Well, to make a long story short, Spike Jonze is not Jewish!

Since Spike Jonze's mother is not Jewish, and in Judaism one's religion is based on one's mother's religion, then that makes him also not Jewish. Though he is not Jewish, His father is Jewish, which makes him in some views half Jewish...

Spike Jonze (who's full birth name is Adam Spiegel) was born on October 22, 1969 in Rockville, Maryland.

He started his feature film directing career with Being John Malkovich (1999) and Adaptation (2002), and then started movies with screenplays of his own with Where the Wild Things Are (2009) and Her (2013). He was a co-creator and executive producer of MTV's Jackass. He is well known for his music video collaborations with Fatboy Slim, Weezer, Beastie Boys, and Bj?rk.
