Was Stan Lee Jewish?

Stan Lee

Well, to make a long story short, Stan Lee was Jewish!

Since Stan Lee's mother was Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes him Jewish. His father was Jewish too.

Stan Lee (whose full birth name was Stanley Martin Lieber) was born on December 28, 1922 in New York City, New York.

Lee's parents were Romanian-born Jewish immigrants. His mother's maiden name was Solomon, and his father's last name was Lieber.

Lee is known for co-creating many Marvel Comics characters including superheroes Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp, the Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow.
