Is Liev Schreiber Jewish?

Liev Schreiber

Well, to make a long story short, Liev Schreiber is Jewish!

Since Liev Schreiber's mother is Jewish, and in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism, those with a Jewish mother (or those who underwent a halakhic conversion) are considered Jewish, then that makes him Jewish. His father is Jewish too.

Liev Schreiber (whose full birth name is Isaac Liev Schreiber) was born on October 4, 1967 in San Francisco, California, U.S..

He became known during the late 1990s and early 2000s, having appeared in several independent films, and later mainstream Hollywood films, including the Scream trilogy of horror films, Phantoms, The Sum of All Fears, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Salt, Taking Woodstock and Goon.

He also plays the eponymous lead character on the Showtime series Ray Donovan.
